We all have an Inner Healer. The immune system is just the tip of the iceberg. Fact: we can even stop bleeding. There are scientific studies that prove hypnosis can accelerate healing, e.g. in a post-surgical wound healing. And do many other things …
An expert hypnotist can boost your inner healer to help you recover faster, better, and with less pain. Attention: this is not a replacement therapy but a complimentary therapy. Your doctor is still the most important person. Ask him for advice, then contact me for a discussion.
There’s is more …
In a medical environment patients are often dependent, vulnerable and easily influenced by many people: doctors, family members, friends, other patients.
The messages patients receive may create anxiety and expectation of pain and complications.
Doctors have a duty of disclosure but — even with the very best intent — it is often very difficult to do it in a meaningful and balanced way. In the mind of an anxious patient a small risk of possible complications may become overblown to huge proportion. And when this happens, it’s not the doctor’s fault, it’s not even the patient’s fault, it’s just the way it is.
Friends and family want to be supportive but they may not find the best way, and their own concerns may get across in a subliminal kind of way.
Other patients will see it all trough their own experience that may be very different from yours.

Hypnosis can help you to alleviate stress and anxiety. It is particularly important if you have to take an important decision about your treatment. Decisions made in a positive, relaxed, stress free state of mind are far superior to decisions made under anxiety and misinformation.
Even more, it has been proven that the state of your mind may affect the healing process… both ways. If nothing else consider the effects of placebos. Did you know that placebos continue to be work even when people know they are taking them?
Unfortunately the effect works also in reverse. Do you know about nocebos? A nocebo is the opposite of a placebo. Here’s the definition: “a detrimental effect on health produced by psychological or psychosomatic factors such as negative expectations of treatment or prognosis.”
The state of your mind, what you think, what you believe, will significantly influence you health, recovery from illness and the decisions you make.
There many situations where hypnosis can help you, making a treatment more comfortable, less stressful and with higher chances of fast recovery.
Talk to your doctor first, and then contact me for specific information about hypnosis and medical procedures.
